Frequently Asked Questions

When are services held?

Our weekly service is held every Sunday at 11:00 am in our Sanctuary. Our Service typically lasts about an hour. Features of a typical service will include greeting each other, singing, lighting our “Candles of Joys & Concerns,” listening to readings and the message, and enjoying a wide variety of music. First UU Lubbock is a lay led community so anticipate a diverse and wide variety of service messages.

Religious Education classes are held every Sunday for both adults (Intersections) 10:00 am to 10:55 am and children from 10:00 am to 12:00 am. We also have a nursery for infants and toddlers open every Sunday from 10:00 am to 12:10 pm and staffed by paid child care professionals.

Is there a dress requirement?

Yes, please wear clothes! Other than that, just come as you are. There are no expectations when it comes to what you wear.

Who can attend?

Anyone and everyone! You do not have to be a member to attend either religious education classes or our service. Visitors are very welcome!
